George Clooney and his new wife Amal Alamuddin are not done with celebrations. Almost one month after their wedding in Venice, the couple decided to make another party but this time at Amal’s home court – in England.
The party was held at Buckinghamshire in London, and the hosts were bride’s parents – Baria and Ramzi Alamuddin. There were more than 200 friends and family members – more people than guests at wedding itself. Unline the first wedding were Clooney’s Hollywood friends like Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski were attended, at this party there were only Amal’s UK friends and loved ones from Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Also, there were CNN’s Hala Gorani, , former Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri, and government ministers and ambassadors from several Middle Eastern nations, too.
Couple’s second wedding fête comes after exciting honeymoon at their new $12 million romantic estate on a private island. Proving that she is a rising fashion icon, Amel wore a stunning gold gown designed by the late Oscar de la Renta.
Before introducing George to the crowd, Ramzi Alamuddin first took a moment to welcome all the guests and thank them for coming to London just for this celebration.
On the menu was hotel Michelin’s food – foie gras or smoked salmon starters; roasted filet of beef, sea bass or a risotto for mains; and mousse au chocolat or a strawberry tart for dessert. The drinks also didn’t disappoint becouse the couple served theirs signature drinks: a cocktail made with tequila, citron vodka, lime juice and ginger ale for George, and one with vanilla vodka, passion fruit liqueur and lime juice for Amal.
Allegedly, not everyone was happy with this gorgeous second wedding celebration, becouse one guest who had reservation had to cancel his party in favour of Clooney’s. It didn’t take long for the newlyweds to get back to their regular routine— George went at Comic Con in New York to promote his upcoming movie – Tomorrowland, and Amal traveled to Athens in Greece, for work.
