This is the first time Owen spoke about this subject and he did it for Dallas Morning News, which make sense since he and his family are originally from Dallas.
“It is a rough thing. It’s one of those things where if somebody had said 10 years ago, when my dad and I were joking around, having a putting match, that this is the position your dad’s going to be in, where he basically needs 24-hour care, you’d think, ‘Gosh, I won’t be able to handle that. That’s just not possible,'” Owen said.
“You just have to do your best to deal with it. You’ve got no choice but to accept it. And then, you sort of still look for the things to be grateful for.” He continued. Now that is a true spirit, always look for positive things in life and not allowing bad ones to put you down. Owen’s father who is 74 now, was kind of celebrity in Dallas. He was in charge of Dallas public television affiliate, KERA.
Have you heard for “The News Hour With Jim Lehrer”, well Owen’s father is the one who hired Jim Lehrer in the first place and gave him public affairs programming to manage. The actor also shared what a big influence father was on him and his brother, the biggest one to be precise. Owen has two brothers Luke and Adrew who are actors as well. Their mother is Laura Wilson who is a photographer, and only girl in the family. Owen is also a father himself. He has two sons, and he is one short from continuing his father tradition.
