Matt LeBlanc Opens Up About His Dark Times In The Past

Although they look like they have it all, even celebrities have their dark times. Matt LeBlanc opened up about his in the interview for the Mirror. He mentioned the period that lasted for years where he did not even wanted to leave his house which got him close to breakdown.

“I was burnt out. I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere. I was in a position to do that. My agent was bummed. Most actors call their agents and say, ‘What’s going on?’. I’d call mine and say, ‘Please lose my number for a few years.’ It was a very dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown.”

This rough episode happened after “Friends” ended in 2006 and when his marriage was in crisis. He spoke about raising his daughter and how big challenge it was, because she had severe brain condition called cortical dysplasia. His abnormality is known to be common cause for epilepsy. Marina, his daughter is 11 years now and she grew out her medical condition now.

Matt reflected on the day when she was born saying: “The second I laid eyes on her, I was in love, and I had never felt that way before,” LeBlanc told the Mirror. “I couldn’t believe it. I knew from that moment there was nothing that would ever stop me from loving her – even if she crashed my Ferrari.”

Matt Le Blanc divorced his wife but they share their custody over their daughter. “We make breakfast, go horseback-riding, hiking, I really try to off-set this computer age kid thing that’s going on now with as much time outside,” LeBlanc said. “Spending time with her is the best thing I’ve ever done. We have a great bond and it’s the best thing in my life.” Le Blanc’s new project is going to be hosting the BBC’s Top Gear.
