The American Academy of Arts and Science record awarded the Grammy Award for this year. For the 58th time the American Academy of record art and science awarded a Grammy.
The prize is awarded in 83 categories in 30 different music genres, and this year was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and it was led by musician LL Cool J. The first one on the stage was young star Taylor Swift (winner of seven nominations), which opened evening awards ceremony with her hit song ‘Out Of The Woods’.
After it, the audience was warmed by Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood. The Weeknd, winner of seven nominations, thrilled everybody with their performance. The audience also enjoyed Ellie Goulding and Andra Day performance, which even Adele honored with standing ovations. Luke Bryan, John Legend, Meghan Trainor and Demi Lovato performed in honor of the one and only- Lionel Richie. This great musician, exactly 32 years ago won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year named Can not Slow Down. Emotions could not be hiden.
Kendrick Lamar received 11 nominations, and thrilled everyone with his show! Emotional appearance gave unique Adele, but even she was not truly satisfied with sound system. Members of the “Hamilton” musical which was held at the same time at New York’s Theatre Richard Rodgers Theatre came and had a performance at the Grammy Awards. With her performance Lady Gaga paid tribute to the recently deceased David Bowie. Chris Stapleton, Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt paid tribute B. B. King.
Stars of the evening were the big Hollywood Vampires, the band, which features true legends Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. Kendrick Lamar distinguished himself among the names with the most nominations with as many as 11 nominations.
