After all the speculation and guessing, Netflix has officially confirmed that “Gilmore Girls” are coming back with their original crew. That means that Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are all up for it.

We still don’t know title for the upcoming series, but we do know that 4 episodes will be filmed and that they will last 90 min each. Official Netflix Instagram page has shared the photo of a dresser with photos of Gilmore girls captioning it: “From Stars Hollow to Hartford to New Haven to Netflix. Welcome back, girls. An all new season of Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix in 2016.”

As soon as Netflix shared their announcement Lauren Graham tweeted about the reunion also. She posted a photo of herself holding a jacket that says “Property of Gilmore Girls Costume” with tweet saying: “I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it’s time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work.@netflix #GilmoreGirls”

The only downside of this story is that Melissa McCarthy will probably not play her supporting role, due to rise of her fame since Gilmore Girls ended in 2007, and her role Sookie will be missed by many. But this is not confirmed news, maybe she will surprise us all. Lauren Graham made recorded message to her fans to thank them for helping Gilmore Girls revival to happen.”We haven’t even started shooting and I haven’t even seen any of the scripts.

So, all I can tell you is it is because of you, the devoted fans that I get to revisit this character and go back to this world. And we are all so excited and so thankful.”
