Will Angelina Jolie ever be an ambassador, a senator or maybe the president?
She might be one of the most successful actresses in Holywood but that doesn’t mean that Angelina Jolie is not ready for new, much bigger role.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Jolie said that she is thinking about her future in politics. The Oscar winner was talking with Janine di Giovanni about her possible attempt in being elected or appointed for the office.
„You must be conscious that politics need to be considered if you are working as a humanitarian. You have to have a responsibility because if you don’t you will never be able to make an enormous change. I don’t know in which role I will do my best and which role is right for me, and I am very well aware what I’m doing for a living since that part might make it less possible to happen.“ – She stated.
This celebrated 39-year-old actress, who is a humanitarian and United Nations special envoy for refugees, isn’t sure if she could be full-time active in politics. Former President of America, Ronald Reagan, appeared in more than 50 films and TV shows before he was elected for the office he held form 1967-1975, as a Governor of California.
In 1976, Shirley Temple was the U.S. Ambassador in Ghana, and in 1989, Temple was the Ambassador in Czechoslovakia. Wrestler Jesse Ventura, known as „The Body“, was the Governor of Minnesota. Actor Fred Grandy, who was best known for his role as „Gopher“, was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Iowa (1987-1993).
Last but not least is Arnold Schwarzenegger who went from Mr. Olympia to actor to an office which he held form 2003-2011, as the Governor of California. Currently, Angelina Jolie is directing two movies – „Unbroken“ and „By the Sea“. The first movie of the two will debut in December, and it is her second movie when it comes to her directorial efforts.
The other movie is about a couple and all their difficulties through their marriage. In „By the Sea“ film we will see Jolie as the director and she will also appear in the movie together with her husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie and Pitt are having a lovely life for nearly a decade and in August, a few months ago, they got married. This couple has six children: Maddox (13), Pax (10), Zahara (9), Shiloh (8), Knox and Vivienne (6). Four of them were adopted and only the twins, Knox and Vivienne are their biological children.
