His name is Steve M. Sheerer, he is 25 years old, an addict in whose house Chelsea O’Donnell (Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter) spend 7 days when she was missing. He is going to get charged for endangering the welfare of a child and the distribution of obscenity to a minor.

Punishment for both of these crimes is up to 5 years in prison, so he is facing up to 10 years behind the bars.It looks like Chelsea met this man on line, on dating app Tinder. They have been in contact for weeks, so when she run away from home, she knew where she is going – Barnegat, New Jersey.

Police arrested Sheerer after searching O’Donnell’s phone where they found “evidence of inappropriate communications over the last several weeks” according the police statement. The court set bail of $40,000 for Steve and banned him from contacting Chelsea or anybody else from O’Donnell family.

Cindi Berger who is publicist for O’Donnell gave statement about charges for People Magazine: “He was involved with a minor, and Rosie’s concern has been and always will be the health, safety and well-being of her daughter,” publicist said. “Rosie is profoundly appreciative for the work the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has done and the diligence of the local police.” Steve M. Sheerer had prior problems with a law.

He’s been charged for “third-degree possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, third-degree possession of heroin, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia,” according to Barnegat statement. This is just another case that’s been showing how internet can be dangerous place for children and minors.
