Best known as Brienne of Tarth on HBO’s acclaimed series ‘Game of Thrones,’ Gwendoline Christie is on her way to the top. She decided to become an actress after a spinal injury derailed her gymnast ambitions as a child.
Since graduating from the Drama Centre London in 2005, she has been moving steadily up the ranks. Her 6’3” frame helps her to stand out among the cast pools.
After earning a supporting role in 2009’s ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ Gwendoline went on to ‘Game of Thrones’ then the British series ‘Wizards and Aliens.’ Next up she will play Commander Lyme for ‘The Hunger Games – Mockinjay Part 2’ and Captain Phasma in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’
